Conservatory Cooling Solar Inserts fit directly inside polycarbonate roof sheeting and become an integral part of each roof panel, creating a protective SOLAR BARRIER, Conservatory Cooling Solar inserts, control the level of solar energy penetrating through the conservatory roof, REDUCING the rate of heat build within the conservatory during the summer. During colder periods our Solar inserts enhance conservatory roof insulation by increasing the thermal resistance to heat loss, re-radiating heat built up within the conservatory.

Polycarbonate suitability
Conservatory Cooling Solar Inserts are available for all polycarbonate and PVC sheet structures. We cater for all panel styles, thicknesses and channel profiles. By advising the dimensions and profile of the cavity in the roof sheet we can supply a suitable width insert for installation. Available Colours
Conservatory Cooling Solar Inserts are available in 2 attractive colours, Silver/Silver and Gold/Silver, helping to retain the natural ambience of the conservatory with minimal light loss.
How are Conservatory Cooling Solar Inserts supplied?
All our Solar Inserts are supplied on 50 linear metre rolls. This ensures the material can be transported in a compact, space-saving way and gives flexibility and easy handling during installation. If you require longer length rolls, please call 01789 764110 to special order.
Installation
(Standard polycarbonate sheeting)
- Visual Guide on installing polycool solar inserts
- Remove sheet enclosure
- Remove any sealing tape
- Punch a hole through the Solar Insert (using the hole punch provided)
- Insert film with assistance of the installation tool
- Trim the insert to the required length, flush with the end of the roof sheet
- Renew breather/sealing strip and replace panel end caps
For channel sizes up to 35mm, we recommend fitting Solar Inserts in a U shape. Widespan Ultralite 500 & Plastmo Everlite roof panels require Solar Inserts fitted in an inverted U shape (n). N.B Irreglar profiled cavities vary in structure and require Solar inserts fitted in the cavity closet to the exterior surface of the roof sheet.
Plastmo Everlite, Ultralite 500 and other widespan roof panels do not have sealing strips - they will typically have channel end plugs or a facia board covering the end of the roof panel.
End User product Guarantee
When you sell Conservatory Cooling Solar Inserts we will comprehensively guarantee our film for 15 years (assuming you have fitted it correctly - for details of our guarantee, register for access to our member's area). Each conservatory kit is supplied with a warranty registration form that your customer must complete and return to us. On receipt we will register their details onto our database and send them an acknowledgement to confirm their guarantee registration.
This gives your customers the confidence and peace of mind that the product they have purchased is the best for the job and backed by a manufacturers guarantee. This is important as you need to be confident your customers will be totally satisfied in years to come.
